Staros Labs is focused on building and maintaining open source tools for infrastructure monitoring, automation, and developer workflows.
The primary project is an actively maintained fork of Scrutiny, a hard drive health dashboard that tracks S.M.A.R.T metrics and predicts drive failures. The fork merges community contributions and adds significant new features including ZFS pool monitoring, Prometheus metrics export, Home Assistant integration, and more.
Beyond Scrutiny, Staros Labs maintains infrastructure across multiple servers, manages home automation systems, and builds internal tools for productivity and monitoring.
